Tooth Number 5

Kaylie has her fifth tooth now! Her front and center one. She has become a biter. The last two days she went to bite Ryan on the hand while at the music table, in an effort to claim it as hers. She doesn't share well AT ALL. Today, she tried to bite him on his rear (LOL!) and bit me on my shoulder. Naughty, naughty, naughty!! I know she doesn't know what she is doing, but I don't know how to stop it. I tell her no, but what else can you do at this age? I think her teeth might be bothering her a lot. I've given Orajel, teethers, and let her suck on an ice cube in one of those mesh feeders. Seems to help. Let's hope it's a phase that passes soon.

Liz,
don't worry. That is just a phase especially since she is teething. If she is doing it just to get Ry out of the way and get the toy, take her away and see what happens. As you said, she does not know what she is doing yet. I found that when Annie and Joey were teething, tylenol helped especially at night so they would sleep. Don't have to give them full amount. Also, I can't believe how big and how adorable they have become. Hope they had a wonderful birthday!!

Love

I agree with jo-jo. It is a phase, with the teething. Will did it for a while, but has finally gottne past it.
I had quite a few bruises on my shoulder from him too!
