It's Been a Long Week

Both Ryan & Kaylie have had colds this week. That just makes for some rough days with two toddlers. Kaylie had a short-lived cold including goopy eyes, runny nose and a slight cough but she is fine now. Ryan has had a runny nose, cough, some lethargy, and now his eye is red. I fear it might be pink eye so I hope to take him to the doctor tomorrow. He has been pretty whiney and grumpy this week. Oh and I can't forget Thursday morning we awoke to find Ryan covered in throw-up. That was fun! He must have thrown up sometime during the night and rolled around in it. Yeah, right into the tub he went.

I was sick yesterday. I had a HUGE headache and ended up throwing up. Luckily Bob was able to come home at naptime and be Mr. Mom for the rest of the day. I feel better today. I am still left wondering what it was--just a bad migraine or a virus.

Ryan & Kaylie were both evaluated by Early Intervention this week too. They have both qualified for speech services so I hope to get their therapy underway. We have a meeting on the 30th and then after that I suppose therapy will start. Although this week Kaylie has begun to say a handful of words which is a good thing of course. She has said hot, "ack" for snack, uh-oh, and cheese. Finally, she said the best word of all---Mama. I was on the bed in our room and she pointed to our wedding picture and then to me and said Mama. I melted.

We started the week out with getting about 8 inches of snow and now we are enjoying 65 degree weather. It's starting to feel like spring!! I see crocuses and the daffodils are coming up! Thank goodness!

YAY, she said Mama. I am teary eyes and so excited for you. That is great that they are going to have speech therapy. I hope that you all feel better soon. Sick toddlers and a sick mommy is miserable. I am hoping this weather transition stays so that everyone can be well. Have a great rest of the wknd.
