Trip to the Pool

Today my friend, Deana, came down to help me take the kids to the pool. I have been feeling some guilt that some M.O.M.s feel. If they were a singleton, I would be able to take them to things like the pool or the mommy & me type of classes by myself. Not really the case with multiples--unless the instructor is willing to take one. I guess you have to get lucky there.
Anyway, they took a while to warm up to the pool. The water was cooler than the other day so that may have been the reason. Did I take any pictures? No. Forgot my camera. :( Next time...she's helping again on the 30th! It's so good to have teacher friends with summer's off. Don't know what I will do come September. Thanks Deana! (I know she's a faithful reader).

i am so glad you were able to take them to the pool...what a wonderful friend! can't wait to see the pics from next time! by the way, i feel the same way about not being able to take the babies everywhere lydia was able to go. it is a mixture of guilt and sadness...but then i remember they will get to have new and different experiences than she did too!

I feel that same guilt Liz. It's very hard to try to juggle both babies without one of the older kids.
You need to hire yourself a mother's helper! (check out some of the local churches)

The Kindermusik class I took with Rachel and Emily had babysitting. That way you could take a class one on one. You end up taking two classes, which will take up an entire morning unless you split it up and go on two different days. You should look into that. I know a lot of these type of places have on-site babysitting now, or as they called it, "sibling" sitting. There was a set of twins Rachel's age and their mom said that she didn't want them both in the same class because she liked getting the one on one time with them.

I found your blog through another I was reading, and I can totally identify with you on this! I have 3-year-old twin girls, and I constantly feel guilty that they haven't gotten to do so many things that their singleton friends have done. I'm doing the best I can, though, and I try not to let the guilt get to me.

Your kids are adorable!
