A little late with this....okay A LOT late
On April 26th, I took part in the March of Dimes Walk for Babies. I raised $900, surpassing my goal of $500. It was a rainy and cold day. Thankfully they shortened the walk. Here I am attempting to show off my new MOD t-shirt. Thank you to all my friends and family who donated to this important organization.

March for Babies
I am participating in the annual March of Dimes March for Babies fundraising walk. March of Dimes is an organization dedicated to fighting to make sure all babies are born healthy. It's a cause that hits close to home obviously. If you would like to help me reach my fundraising goal, then just click on the purple rectangle to the right. All donations are appreciated!!
Here I am after last year's walk:

March For Babies 2009
I took part in the March of Dimes March for Babies 5 mile walk today. It was a sunny, 85+ degree day--very unusual weather for April---but I was glad it wasn't raining. Fortunately, there was a small breeze as the walk was held down the shore. I initially was going to be walking alone, but my local M.O.M. club had a group there so I introduced myself and walked with them. This was much better than walking alone as I had people to talk to. I felt a little bad that I didn't bring the kids, but there was no way Ryan would have sat in the stroller for as long as the walk took. We would have had to stop a million times. I think they will be ready next year to tag along. I now know they have some kid-friendly activities for them to do.
This was the view of most of my scenery until the crowds showed up and then there was barely a spot to be had on the beach.

The start of our walk.

My grand total fundraising efforts reached $1,100!!!! This was, again, more than I ever expected to raise. Thank you to all of you who supported me!

A HUGE Thank You!
(Horns sounding....) I am happy to say that I have met and exceeded my fund-raising goal for the March for Babies walk. All thanks to many generous donations from friends and family. If you contributed, THANK YOU!!!! I set a goal of $500 and I am currently at $990! This is way more than I expected to raise so I am grateful for the donations. Anyone want to make it an even $1000? (Hint, Hint.)
I'll be walking next Sunday. I am hoping the weather is as good as it was today! 70 degrees baby!! The walk is held on a boardwalk so I will have some excellent scenery as I walk. I'm looking forward to it.

Two Things
First, I signed up for the March for Babies annual fundraiser sponsored by the March of Dimes. They are an organization fighting to find ways to ensure all babies are born healthy. It's something that obviously hits close to home being that Ryan & Kaylie were born so prematurely. Last year I just wasn't able to do the walk, but this year I plan to take part. It's at the end of April and I am looking forward to it. If you would like to help me reach my fundraising goal (& hopefully go beyond), feel free to click to donate. I appreciate any donations. Thank you.
Second, my MIL at Raising Eden, recently gave me a blogging award called The Butterfly Award. It's given to people who's blogs you enjoy reading. Although I have many blogs I like to read, I bestow this award to the following blogs:
1. Linda at Twice the Love
2. Rachael at Little Bites of Heaven
3. Becky at Sweet Peas In a Pod
4. Christa at Dynamic Duo
5. Debi at Who Says 8 is Enough?
