Fourth Birthday

They turned 4 on May 30th. Hard to believe. I made Cinnamon muffins to celebrate on their actual birthday. They got scooters as their bigger gift. Ryan got a lot of Cars 2 toys and Kaylie got Princess stuff.

Listening to Happy Birthday sung by Mommy & Daddy.

Checking out her new scooter.

She likes it.

Where's your helmet buddy?

This was the day before their birthday. We went to the shore for the day. They also had another rendition of Happy Birthday sung to them. And add that to the birthday celebration at school.

Painting that fence again.

We had a small family party the following weekend. They got this bounce house from Grandma & Pop Pop. It was the hit of the party as everyone enjoyed it. Here they are jumping with Cousin Hunter.

Eating candy necklaces with the cousins.

Ry's oatmeal raisin cookie cake b/c he doesn't do cake.

Kaylie's Ariel cake

Yet another Happy Birthday song.

Did I forget to mention that Mommy & Daddy love this bounce house too? It can be used inside. So great for getting them tired on rainy and cold winter days!

May 2011

May is always a busy month with tons of family birthdays and R & K's birthday too!

Pop Pop had a triple bypass surgery at the end of April, so the kids went to visit and make sure he was doing well. Here they are using the doctor kit to examine the patient. Thankfully Pop Pop is doing just fine.

Even an orange needs to have a check up.

Here everyone is celebrating MY 35th birthday. I think this was also Mother's Day. The kids let me sleep in, picked out their own cards ( I got a Rapunzel birthday card. My favorite.) and they helped Daddy make breakfast in bed for me.

May always brings trips to the shorehouse. Feeding the ducks never gets old.

The bay...

Just a fun licking the beater pic!

The kids had their end of year concert. Kaylie didn't sing a word, but did do some hand motions and shook her maracas. Ryan did some singing and instrument playing.

She found me

Ryan playing the triangle quite nicely

Easter 2011

We hosted Easter dinner at our house. It was a beautiful day which allowed us to have an outdoor Easter egg hunt. I'm not sure why I don't have any pics of it but oh well. There were lots of eggs to be found. Ryan & Kaylie enjoyed playing with their cousins Rachel, Emily, and Hunter (who I think walked in right after these pics were taken).

Typical 3 year olds not cooperating for a picture. This was the BEST one.

Happy with what the Easter Bunny left them...

April 2011

April brought us warmer weather, a trike-a-thon, and some Easter preparations.

Egg dyeing

Kaylie made ALL of her eggs pink.

Decorate an Easter egg cookie...

At school, the kids participated in the St. Jude's Children's Hospital Trike-a-Thon. ROTC students from the high school created a road and the kids had to obey all signs. It was adorable. To see them ride these trikes makes me nostalgic. It wasn't that long ago, yet now they ride their "big kid bikes" like pros.

A trip to see the Easter Bunny

Do an egg hunt....

February-March 2011

Yep, I know February comes before March but I uploaded the pics to Blogger and didn't feel like dealing with having to move them all around b/c they were out of order. So here is March first and then February.

March brought us a St. Patrick's Day celebration at school...

The kids writing their names...

March they got to get outside one or two warmer days to test out their bikes they got for Christmas.

February brought us Valentine's Day parties at school...

Lots of snow and a case of the crazies!

Cabin fever

Notice all of Kaylie's hair....unfortunately it won't be there next month and I haven't seen it since.
